Old Orchard Beach, Maine

Old Orchard Beach, is famous for the seven mile long stretch of pristine white sand beach stretching away from downtown, on the Atlantic Ocean. This popular summer beach destination is lined with many beach residential properties, condominiums, motels and bed & breakfasts.

The town has taken its name from the abandoned apple orchard of Thomas Rogers (the first official settler of the beach). Since the establishment of “Garden by the Sea” back in 1631, the town has been popular as a tourist destination. It boasts many tourist attractions, souvenir shops and other tourist-oriented businesses. For kid-friendly fun, visit the boat-shaped funhouse and the seaside amusement park of Palace Playland; it’s one of the last old-timey Oceanside amusement parks in New England.
